What is Storytelling?

Storytelling refers to the art of using targeted stories to convey complex content in such a way that it is not only understood but also felt and remembered. It is about more than just conveying information: leaders use storytelling to provide orientation, build trust, make values tangible and develop shared visions. The combination of emotional appeal and a structured approach makes storytelling an effective leadership tool that has a lasting impact in both face-to-face conversations and presentations or digital formats.

The Storytelling Training for Leaders

In this two-day storytelling workshop, executives discover how to use stories as a strategic tool to increase the impact of their communication. Especially in change processes, lectures or presentations, information is not only conveyed, but emotionally anchored. This is because people remember stories – not just facts.

This storytelling seminar is aimed at managing directors, teams, trainers and marketing managers who want to make their messages clear, emotional and convincing. Participants learn how to use narrative techniques and dramaturgy in a targeted way to generate real attention among employees, customers or on social media platforms.

In the workshop, you will develop your own stories for specific business situations such as speeches, pitches or content strategies. Supported by artificial intelligence as creative sparring, ideas, characters and story structures emerge more quickly and precisely. Exercises, group discussions and feedback from experienced trainers ensure a high level of practical application.

The training imparts rhetorical know-how, shows ways to build strong stories and links expertise with direct application in everyday work. Content of the Storytelling Training

Want to tell stories that have an impact? In this intensive training session, you will experience how storytelling can take your leadership and presentation skills to a new level. Get to know formats, structures and tools that you can use to inspire, convince and change people – whether in a meeting, on stage or online.

Day 1: Fundamentals & Story Design

On the first day, we cover the fundamentals of effective storytelling: You will learn about structure, formats and how to develop initial prototypes for personal stories, visions and change communication:

  • What makes a good story?
  • Storytelling vs. facts and figures (reporting)
  • The three cornerstones of a strong story: goal, audience, storyteller
  • Building blocks of good stories: conflict, polarization, desirable future (motivation)
  • How can AI help develop ideas?
  • Helpful story structures: 5 Beats Framework, Hero’s Journey, Pitch Perfect
  • Get to know story archetypes: Who am I?, Why am I here?, Values in Action etc.

Day 2: Storytelling in Practice & Storytelling Skills

The second day is all about application: you will develop your own leadership story, practice emotional language, body language and voice, and anchor storytelling in your daily communication:

  • You will develop your own story step by step in the form of a presentation
  • Use artificial intelligence and develop ideas, image concepts and story structures (with our prompt library)
  • Arouse emotions: active language, signal words, first-person messages, hypnotic sentences
  • Work with images: “Show, don’t tell”
  • Activate your body: voice, posture, mastering text/subtext as a storyteller
  • Feedback rounds & practical simulations
  • Transfer to everyday management & social media
